There’s an opportunity that domestication has spoiled our dogs. Dogs within the wild must get wet if they need to eat. Domesticated dogs rarely get wet nowadays.
I recommend getting young dogs wont to getting wet from a young age.
I add getting a touch wet in my socialization classes. Get a hose and let your dog play with the water. Your dog will have many fun! i used to be reluctant to believe this initially but after being shy for a couple of minutes my dogs had a blast playing within the water!
2) prey on Wet Grass
Rain is usually not the sole problem with dogs who hate rain. Many dogs seem to hate walking on the wet grass. Well, guess what? you’ll classically condition your dog to like wet grass and here’s how: If it’s has not recently rained, make the grass slightly wet with a hose and put your dog’s food bowl down within the wet grass or toss some treats around on the wet grass.
You can also play a fun game of fetch on the wet grass. Your dog will start to associate wet grass with food or other fun things, or a minimum of will learn that wet grass is nothing to
stress about.
